I crafted this card to honor my mother because it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My magnificent and marvelous mother, Ressie May Walker nee Brown fought that illness and she succumbed to it in 1996. So I crafted this card, that features a pink ribbon in her honor. I'm a novice card maker; it has been less than a year since I started making cards and I am hooked! Wanting to improve my crafting, I decided to enter card challenges on IG. However, most challenges require card makers to sub mit entries via a blog, which I didn't have, thus "Faithful Cards by Ruth". The title reflects my belief that Our God is ever Faithful and many of my cards reflect my faith. I started making cards in December 2021 and unexpectedly came to enjoy the challenge of crafting greeting cards. Crafting has became a creative outlet for me and a stress reliever. I lean toward a hybrid style of cardmaking. I like to work with traditional stamps as well as digital stamps and paper.
