Can Layering Stamps Be Fun?

Can Layering Stamps Actually Be Fun? Good question! Well, I am finding it easier to work with layering stamps. Being able to select colors that look good together and feeling more comfortable with lining up layers is a work in progress! Two design concepts from the course I incorporated into this card are 1) work with an odd number of flowers and 2) add leaves in a triangular shape around the flowers for a more natural look.  I started by stamping each of the four layers of the large bloom found in the Altenew Climbing Clematis stamp set separately in Memento Luxe (ML) Morocco, ML Dandelion, Distress Oxide (DO) Spiced Marmalade and finally DO Squeezed Lemonade. Then I stamped two of the small bud blooms in four layers as well. This time I went with complementary ink colors in the following order, Distress (D) Milled Lavender, Tsukineko Pearlescent Purple, D Wilted Violet and DO Seedless Preserves. Finally I stamped the three leaf images onto green and yellow patterned paper and I used

Altenew All About Layering Level 3 Homework

Layering with Altenew's Climbing Clematis The Altenew Climbing Clematis is a great stamp to practice layering with. In All About Layering, Level 3, I learned about adding your florals within a shape, which for this card was a modified oval. So after I stamped the 3 larger florals using Altenew dye inks in Blush, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss and Rouge with accents in Memento Tuxedo Black and Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade. The leaves were inked in two layers using Memento Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves and the final layer in Altenew Sweet Leaf.  I layered a Neenah Solar White A2 panel with a slightly smaller (by 1/8 inch)  black rectangle. Then I dry embossed a lime green A2 panel using Spellbinder's Faux Stitch embossing folder and accented it with white ink. I added the green panel to the top of the black/white panels mentioned previously. I die cut a black oval and adhered it to the top of the green embossed panel. Adding the leaves to the floral cuts randomly, I arranged the flora
