Layering with Altenew's Climbing Clematis
The Altenew Climbing Clematis is a great stamp to practice layering with. In All About Layering, Level 3, I learned about adding your florals within a shape, which for this card was a modified oval. So after I stamped the 3 larger florals using Altenew dye inks in Blush, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss and Rouge with accents in Memento Tuxedo Black and Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade. The leaves were inked in two layers using Memento Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves and the final layer in Altenew Sweet Leaf.
I layered a Neenah Solar White A2 panel with a slightly smaller (by 1/8 inch) black rectangle. Then I dry embossed a lime green A2 panel using Spellbinder's Faux Stitch embossing folder and accented it with white ink. I added the green panel to the top of the black/white panels mentioned previously. I die cut a black oval and adhered it to the top of the green embossed panel. Adding the leaves to the floral cuts randomly, I arranged the florals in roughly an oval shape over the black oval.
I added a sentiment from Pinkfresh's foiled stickers and added three Pinkfresh gold gems to finish the card.
Fabulous card, Ruth!! Congrats on your first submission of AECP!
